Bonjour à tous et à toutes,

Il me fait plaisir de vous faire parvenir cette nouvelle édition de l’Express ! Alors que le cycle de consultations prébudgétaires approche à sa fin, nous sommes très satisfaits du niveau de dynamisme dont votre association et sections locales ont fait preuve.

Il faut également souligner le travail consultatif important des comités, qui a permis de cibler nos priorités, ce qui a été apprécié des élus que nous avons rencontrés.

Le budget du gouvernement du Québec sera rendu public le 21 mars prochain. La prochaine édition de l’Express sera donc l’occasion de faire le point sur ce qui s’y retrouvera !

Départ de Mme Julie Leclerc

Nous souhaitons remercier Mme Julie Leclerc pour ses nombreuses années d’implication auprès de l’AQDR, notamment au sein du conseil d’administration et du comité Santé de l’AQDR.

Grâce à son implication et à son leadership, Julie aura grandement contribué à faire avancer les causes chères à l’AQDR. Sans l’apport de bénévoles dévoués comme elle, l’AQDR ne pourrait pas exister.

Mémoires prébudgétaires

Tel que mentionné dans le Mot du président, les consultations prébudgétaires ont été l’occasion pour l’AQDR de produire deux mémoires, un pour le Québec et un second pour le niveau fédéral.

Consultations sur l’avenir du Régime de rentes du Québec (RRQ)

Comme nombre d’entre vous on pu le constater, le gouvernement du Québec a récemment tenu des consultations publiques concernant l’avenir du Régime de rentes du Québec, le RRQ. Parmi les pistes de changements suggérées par le gouvernement, notons celle concernant la hausse de l’âge l’admissibilité, pour la faire passer de 60 à 62 ans.

Cette proposition a causé une levée de bouclier et l’AQDR a joint sa voix en affirmant que le RRQ doit prioriser la flexibilité et le libre choix des aînés. Heureusement, des signaux indiquent que le gouvernement abandonnerait cet aspect, mais nous continuerons à suivre ce dossier de près.

Colloque sur la santé financière des aînés

Toujours dans le cadre des consultations prébudgétaires fédérales, la députée de Shefford à la Chambre des communes du Canada, Mme Andréanne Larouche, a organisé la semaine dernière un colloque sur la santé financière des aînés.

M. Pierre-Claude Poulin, responsable du comité Revenu et fiscalité de l’AQDR, a pu y participer et faire valoir les priorités de votre association en tant qu’interlocuteur sur un des panels.

Projet de loi – Soins de fin de vie

La ministre déléguée à la Santé et aux Aînés, Mme Sonia Bélanger, a récemment déposé un nouveau projet de loi pour modifier la Loi concernant les soins de fin de vie. Bien entendu, il s’agit d’un enjeu sensible mais crucial pour l’AQDR.

L’analyse de ce projet de loi est présentement en cours et nous nous assurerons que nos positions sur les mesures qu’il contient soient prises en compte dans les prochains mois.
